"I've done one of the biggest challenges you can do in Hollywood, which is transition from being a comedic actor to being a serious actor, and I'm really prideful of that," he says. "I could have made a billion dollars doing every big comedy of the last 10 years and didn't, in order to form a whole other life for myself. Now I have fulfillment doing both."

Fucking hell.

Well that didn't take long for Yeezus to be used to sell things. Film looks like a lot of fun.

Mcconaughey and DiCaprio are both on incredible form at the moment, looking forward to this. I also have a lot of respect for Jonah Hill for going from the fat kid that makes dick jokes to the oscar nominated actor working with Tarantino and Scorsese.

I keep watching the trailer and the last five seconds gives me chills every single time.

Think I might go to the Imax/Giant Screen for this.

I didn't realise a trailer had been released for this. Looks really good, I think, and considering they have 4x the budget of District 9, should be a great popcorn flick.

This year seems like we might be in for a treat with decent sci-fi, with Gravity, Pacific Rim and Elysium all coming out soon and looking promising.

Gravity seems like it could be incredible. The concept (floating in the nothingness of space forever) is just one of those fears where it would be the most horrifying thing to happen. Obviously it has potential to be the worlds dullest movies, but I'd definitely trust it I'm Cuaron's hands more than most.

Apparently it starts with a single 17 minute shot.

I have kissed and made up with this game, we are friends again. (There hasn't been an enemy in a while, I'm now outside where it is light).

Thought maybe I just needed a break, and would enjoy it more when played today.

Just had a full on hissy fit and quit after 15-20 minutes. I'm having the problem that it's too dark to see anything, and then when I'm crouched down behind something they just walk around it and look at me.

Ok actual thoughts after 1.5-4 hours or however long I've spent in it.

So beautiful and atmospheric. Compare the graphics on this to the launch PS3 titles (Motorstorm and Resistance!) and I can't help but feel we'll have something amazing by the end of PS4.

The acting and faces are great, sound design in brilliant (the clickers are so fucking creepy). The environment is just wonderful, this whole world they created is really cool, the relationships between the characters are brilliant.

Only issue is that I really am not getting on with the gameplay. (So far at least) it's mostly forced stealth, which I think might be more a failure of me as a human than the game, but I have not understood the aim or best way to approach the enemies at all, and it just seems unfair and annoying. I started on normal and dropped to easy, but I still die a lot.

Another thing is the signposting. The clickers that only detect sound mean you have to walk everywhere really slowly, and more than once I've spent 10+ minutes just wandering at a snail pace around a room, wondering where I'm meant to go (once there was a platform I had to climb on, so was above where I'd been looking, and the other there was a door I assumed was unopenable).

So as far as the storytelling and technical polish goes, just wonderful and incredible, but the gameplay for me is just really annoying. Maybe it's just me being too dumb or too impatient for a game like this.

Last of Us arrived today.

It told me to fuck off with the PS4 (pre-orders need to be under 2 months from release)

The main jarring thing going from PC games to playing PS3 is jaggedy lines everywhere.

Does anybody that understand system specs know if the PS4 will be able to handle AA properly? If so, this gen will lead to some beautiful console games.

Offer from Flubit for The Last of Us for £29.81, first class delivery included. That will do nicely.

Dispatched today, estimated delivery of tomorrow, and the Pre-order DLC code also emailed today (which graingergames didn't even mention on their site). Good job flubit.
